Healthwise L-Arginine is also frequently used in the clinical setting to treat a variety of conditions such as infection and trauma as under these circumstances, the human body can no longer supply enough arginine. Directions of Use

Studies suggest an average adult serving would be between 2 and 20g depending on diet and other contributing factors.

L-Arginine is generally well absorbed orally and can be added to foods or liquids. Arginine levels can best be maintained by not taking it continuously. A schedule of four weeks of continuous use followed by a two-week break generally works best. When carbohydrates are present in large amount, particularly when combined with high temperatures (like post-workout), it can be rendered nutritionally unavailable to the body, so take well away from carbohydrate based meals. HealthWise® Amino Powders are pure pharmaceutical grade powders and are packed by weight not volume, without the use of fillers or flowing agents. Some of the powders are slightly hygroscopic (retain moisture) and this can result in clumping. This can be broken apart with a spoon before taking or dissolved in water.
