Berberine is a bioactive alkaloid sourced from the roots of Berberis aristata, a plant belonging to the Barberry family. Caruso’s Berberine 500 contains a standardised extract of berberine. It helps maintain healthy blood sugar and assists sugar and carbohydrate metabolism. Berberine is also used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine to help protect the liver and support bile flow. Native to the Northern Himalayan region, Berberis aristata may also be known by its common name Indian Barberry. Berberis aristata plays an important part in traditional Ayurvedic medicine where it is used to protect the liver and to help support the flow of bile. It is also used to help support healthy blood sugar and assist in glucose metabolism.

Each tablet contains:

Berberis aristata (Indian Barberry) ext. dry conc. :1000mg, From min. dry root 90,000mg, Std. to Berberine 500mg.

Free from animal products, artifical colours and flavours, preservatives, corn, dairy, lactose, nuts, gluten, starch, sugar, wheat yeast.

Directions of Use

Take 1 tablet up to 2 to 3 times a day with each main meal, or as advised by your health professional.
