Selling the world's #1 whey protein - 100% Gold Standard Whey. Grab your tub today at Supplement Mart!

Introducing the world's most popular sports supplement brand - best known for Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein Powder, Optimum Nutrition has been in sports nutrition supplement industry for over 30 years. All Optimum Nutrition products have maintained the very best and highest standards of their product quality in the business. Optimum Nutrition has been an innovative and leading brand in sport supplement industry, In addition to it's most popular product, Optimum Nutrition also created other world-renown products such as Amino Energy, Serious Mass, Gold Standard Pre-Workout and Gold Standard Casein. Optimum Nutrition has strict ingredients selection, quality control, lab testing and manufacturing processes - to create uncompromising and high quality sports nutrition products available for us.

Who is Optimum Nutrition?

Optimum Nutrition makes the world's best-selling whey protein. Gold Standard 100% Whey has been the default recommendation in this category for twenty years, and it is still the tub we hand to someone buying their first protein - not because nothing has beaten it on paper, but because it mixes without lumps, tastes the same in every flavour and never springs a surprise.

The Gold Standard line runs well past the whey: Gold Standard 100% Isolate, 100% Casein, 100% Plant Protein, a Naturally Flavoured whey, Gold Standard Gainer, Pro Gainer, Gold Standard PRE Advanced and Gold Standard BCAA. Serious Mass is the other famous one - the gainer people buy when nothing else has worked.

Amino Energy is the brand's second act and arguably its best: a low-kilojoule amino and caffeine drink that works as a pre-workout, a mid-afternoon pick-up or an all-day sipper, sold as a powder, with electrolytes, and as a Sparkling RTD. Burn Complex covers fat loss with a caffeine-free version alongside, and Micronized Creatine, Glutamine, Pro BCAA and Micronized Instant BCAA fill in the rest.

Frequently asked questions

Is Gold Standard Whey still worth buying?

Yes, and it is still what we recommend first. Plenty of proteins now match it on paper and some beat it on price per gram. What keeps it on the shelf is consistency: it mixes without a shaker ball, the flavours are reliable across the range, and twenty years of people drinking it have ironed out the surprises. For a first protein that matters more than a gram of carbohydrate either way.

Gold Standard Whey or Gold Standard Isolate?

Whey is the better value and the right default. Isolate is the pick if you are lactose-sensitive, cutting carbohydrate closely, or simply want the leanest option - it is filtered further, so there is less lactose and less fat per serve, and it costs more for the trouble.

What is Amino Energy, exactly?

Amino acids plus caffeine plus flavour, at almost no kilojoules. It is not strong enough to be a dedicated pre-workout and it is not a protein - think of it as a flavoured energy drink with aminos in it. That vagueness is the point: people drink it before training, at their desk, and through a long session. The Sparkling RTD is the same idea in a can.

Serious Mass or Gold Standard Gainer?

Serious Mass is the heavier one by a wide margin - a full serve is enormous, and it is intended for people who genuinely cannot eat enough. Gold Standard Gainer and Pro Gainer are more moderate and have better protein-to-carbohydrate ratios. Start on a half serve of whichever you choose; gainers catch people out.
