Frequently asked questions

What is mesquite powder for?

It is a flour ground from the mesquite pod - naturally sweet, low GI and high in fibre, with a caramel flavour. People use it as a partial sugar replacement in baking and smoothies. It is genuinely hard to find and it is the most interesting thing in this range.

Cacao or cocoa?

Cacao is the less processed one: not roasted at high heat, so more of the flavanols survive and it tastes noticeably more bitter. Cocoa is roasted and milder. Use cacao where you want the nutrition and are adding sweetness anyway; cocoa where you want it to taste like chocolate.

Singles or one of the blends?

Singles if you know what you want and would rather set the dose - that is the point of a range like this. Supergreen Blend or Smoothie Blend if you would rather not think about it. Buying two or three singles usually works out cheaper than a blend you only half use.

Does organic matter for powders like these?

There is a reasonable argument for it here. You are consuming the whole dried plant, so residues concentrate in a way they do not in a refined extract. Orgamix is certified organic across the range, which is the main thing you are paying for.
