Who is Healthwise?

Healthwise has been going since 1998 and does one thing better than anyone else in the store: plain, single amino acids and nutrients, packed and dispensed without anything added. Twenty-one products, and almost every one of them is a single named compound.

Frequently asked questions

Why buy a single amino acid?

Because you want that one thing at a dose you control, without paying for a blend built around it. Practitioners prescribe this way, and so does anyone who has read a study and wants to try what it actually tested. The trade-off is that you need to know what you are after - and that most of these taste unpleasant on their own.

What is GlyNAC?

Glycine and N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine together - the combination studied for glutathione support, which is why it is sold as a pair rather than as two bottles. Both are also available separately in this range if you would rather dose them independently.

Is Inositol the same as the one for PCOS?

Inositol is the compound, yes - it is the most common reason people come looking for it. Which form and what dose is a question for your doctor rather than for us, since the research uses specific ratios. We can tell you what is in the bottle; the protocol is a clinical conversation.

Do these taste bad?

Several of them, honestly. Plain amino acids are bitter or sour and most are sold unflavoured because adding flavour would defeat the point. Most people put them in juice or a flavoured drink. If taste is the barrier, look for a capsule version of the compound elsewhere in the store.
